designing with community, not for it
As proud Kamilaroi men, both directors bring lived experience and cultural responsibility to every engagement – fostering meaningful relationships with community that extend far beyond project handover.
Our approach refuses ingenuine extractive consultation. We prioritise culturally safe, strengths-based collaboration where Traditional Custodians and local voices are not just heard – but actively shape the outcome. We support clients to embed community insight into every stage, drawing from experience utilising the NSW governments Connecting with Country framework, paired with lived cultural understanding.
What we offer
From major health infrastructure projects where we’ve embedded Country as a co-designer – shaping space through design narratives grounded in local identity – to on-the-ground delivery of crisis accommodation in remote communities like Wilcannia during COVID-19, our experience spans the full spectrum of culturally responsive engagement.
In every setting, we work to ensure community feel heard, respected, and safe – with outcomes that endure beyond the life of the project.
Community-First Engagement Planning

Cultural Interface & Stakeholder Navigation

Co-Design Facilitation with Elders & Local Community
